Police officers are called to manage traffic conditions during a variety of situations, sometimes dangerous for both police officers and drivers. Traffic Control training covers the procedures on directing traffic on public roadways in a safe and consistent manner. Topics include the  factors affecting traffic flow and also how to demonstrate the proper method of directing traffic. This course also covers order of precedence, proper hand, baton and whistle cues to drivers, and dealing with adverse weather, road, and traffic conditions.
