This course identifies the legal basis for traffic stops. It explains and demonstrates the proper procedures to the students on how to conduct either an unknown risk traffic stop or a known risk traffic stop, and the proper measures to secure the scene. The nine-hour Lab portion of the training is hands-on training which further solidifies and enhances for the student the in a class training portion. The lab portion gives the student the opportunity to practice the skills learned in a supervised environment, including proper personal safety measures and proper subject safety considerations, as well as applicable levels of force to affect an apprehension.
