This class is based on the premise that community policing is a partnership between the police and the community to work together in identifying crime related problems, determine their root causes and apply solutions which will permanently reduce or eliminate these problems. Topics include fundamentals and principles of a successful community policing strategy and a problem solving model that is commonly applied to community policing.
