Law enforcement effectiveness depends upon community respect and confidence. Conduct which detracts from this respect and confidence is detrimental to the public interest and should be prohibited. Officers must know the Standards of Conduct of the department they are serving.  This course covers the policies and disciplines of actions unbecoming of an officer.  Topics include the principles and rules an officer must adhere to, the rationale behind the principles, and disciplines if the rules are violated.
