Police Ethics
The public must believe that the officers upholding the law have great morals and can be trusted. The Police Ethics class teaches students how to perform their duties in an ethical and exemplary manner. Discussion topics include fundamental duties of police officers along with traits and characteristics that inspire confidence and respect for the position of trust police officers hold. Common practices of ethical behavior are identified as are means to avoid unethical police behavior. The Canons of Police Ethics are presented.
