This course provides an understanding of the factors that affect emergency driving.  It identifies situations and conditions under which emergency vehicle operations are authorized. It gives the student an understanding of authorized and unauthorized use of the emergency vehicle.  It addresses pursuits, failures to yield, and “hot pursuit” issues.
