This course will prepare the student to conduct in-service training for police K-9 functions, concentrating on obedience, learning theory, narcotics detection, explosives detection, cadaver detection. Selection testing of police dog prospects, tactical deployment, and search and seizure law will also be covered. Extensive hands on training of dogs for detection functions will also be completed during the course.
