Being a correctional officer entails many different duties. This course covers the detailed daily procedures of how a facility runs and exactly what the duties of a correctional officer will be.  Topics include emergency actions, facility operations, how to work in a team environment, safety procedures, first aid, and communications procedures. Officers will learn hands-on the skills needed to work in different facilities as a correctional officer.
