Correctional Officers must understand the legal process involved in inmate lawsuits, and the legal liabilities involved in the use of force and other inmate rights and privileges. This course is designed  to teach officers to comprehend the various Division of prisons forms which must be used in use of force and other incidents. Officers will understand numerous divisional policies in such areas as visitation, mail, religion, and inmate grievances and disciplinary action. This course will cover the do’s an don’ts of being a correctional officer.
