Physical Fitness

The Physical Fitness and Nutrition class provides comprehensive information relative to exercise, nutrition, injury prevention, and how physical fitness training sessions should be conducted.  The class discusses health risk factors that can and cannot be altered and identifies aspects of a police officer’s work which place him/her at  higher risk for health problems. This class also covers the six basic food groups and their importance to a healthy diet and identifies the principles of exercise and factors of a successful multi-faceted fitness program.
