LE CPR-First Aid-Blood Borne Pathogens 2This course provides the student with instruction utilizing the National Safety Council lesson plans and material. This period of instruction is a comprehensive course covering all emergency and other first aid situations that may be encountered. The primary themes of the course are injury and illness prevention, current statistics, when to call 9-1-1 or a healthcare provider, the key principles of first aid and variations on key principles when infants or the elderly are involved. This course is taught through lecture, demonstration, practical exercises and written examinations. Upon successful completion of this course, the student can receive certification from the National Safety Council for First Aid, CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens.
